Lab|8 is pleased to announce that we are again sponsoring the Steel City Big Pour!!!! The Steel City Big Pour is a fund raising event held at Construction Junction. It features beer samples from 32 craft brewers. For more information see their website.

The East Liberty Co-Housing Development, which Lab|8 is working on, is featured on the Website PopCity. We are working with ELDI, a core group of residents and Bryan Bowen Architects on the design and development of the Co-Housing Development.

Tim Kaulen stopped by our office and dropped off one of the models for the South Side Works Scupture that he is working on with the Industrial Arts Co-op www.iaco-op.net check out their website for more information on the Co-op and their work!!!!

The large sculpture is being fabricated in the former LTV Coke Plant in Hazelwood.

Jody Schurman and his wife Kristi Rogers were featured in the SSLDC 2007 Annual Report as "People make the difference". In addition to him being a partner at Lab 8 Designs, Jody and Kristi are the owners of Breathe Yoga Studio.

Lab|8 Designs was awarded the contract for the Schematic Design of the Rippey Street Co-Housing Project located in the East Liberty Neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The co-housing project, being developed by ELDI (eastliberty.org), is slated to be the first Urban Co-Housing project in Pittsburgh. Lab|8 is working with Bryan Bowen Architects from Boulder, CO. on the project.
